The Studio

Mr Honeybunch Productions is a one-woman independent games studio based on Vancouver Island.

The studio is named after Mr Honeybunch, beloved giant zombie bumblebee from the company’s debut title, Cordychosis.

The Developer

Jessi Ross worked in the indie games industry as a generalist for 6 years before starting Mr Honeybunch Productions in 2022. Jessi is the sole developer of the company and strives to make experiences that are fun, engaging, (and a little bit weird) while promoting sustainable development practices.

The Games

Mr Honeybunch is currently working on its very first title, Cordychosis, a time-travelling point-and-click adventure game that takes place within a single room. Equipped with some trash and a makeshift time machine, and aided by a neurotic version of themselves from 5 years ago, players must traverse time, collect objects, solve puzzles, befriend a large bee, and escape the madness.

The Blog

Being a solo developer means that you’re constantly learning new skills, techniques, and tricks (anything to save time during the development process!) Jessi started her blog as a means to document what she’s learned during the solo dev process and to share those experiences with others.
